Itinerary

Day 1 Depart today from Washington Dulles Airport to Nairobi, Kenya.  Times to be announced.

Day 2 Arrival Nairobi – On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and greeted by our representative who will offer all the necessary assistance that you will need on arrival. You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure! Overnight at Panari Hotel – BB

Day 3 Nairobi – Amboseli National Park – Early in the morning, you will depart Nairobi and drive to Amboseli National Parks. Amboseli is part of the Savannah plains with a high population of both bird and animal species. Amboseli has a mixed topography of plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush, swamps and marshes. The diversity, along with a long dry season, ensures excellent viewing of the large concentrations of African Animals living in this natural habitat. Amboseli offers some of the best opportunities to see African animals because its vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months. This is the only park where Africa’s tallest Mt. Kilimanjaro acts as a backdrop while on a game drive. The view of this mountain when the clouds open out is spectacular! Not forgetting to visit the observation hill in Amboseli! You will arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Take on an afternoon game drive until sunset.  Dinner and Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge – FB

Day 4 Amboseli National Parks – Spend the day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. After lunch, you will visit a Maasai village (optional at an extra cost) and enjoy being a part of this unique culture. Later continue on your game drive in the later afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge – FB

Day 5 Amboseli – Tsavo East National Park – Early in the morning after breakfast, you will depart Amboseli National Park with game viewing and drive to Tsavo East National Park.   Tsavo East offers a vast and untapped arena of the bush. It has the largest Elephant herds in Kenya. Its major attractions are Elephant in Eden (red Elephants wallowing in the red soil of Tsavo East), Aruba Dam, Mudanda Rock and Luggard Falls. In Tsavo East you will enjoy game drives visiting Mudanda rock, Aruba dam and a lot of sightseeing.  Dinner and Overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge – FB

Day 6 Full Day at Kasigau Hills – After breakfast, you will depart with your picnic lunch boxes to spend the day in this pre-colonial village and exciting Kasigau and Taita hills. These hills were used by the British and Germans as observation points during the first world war in 1914. A short trek would be exciting! Those who are not able to do the trek will do a walking adventure to enjoy the scenery. A walk around the village too would be exciting to enjoy their way of life. Later you will visit the youth and school children and if possible enjoy a football tournament with the children. Meet the women groups who specialize in weaving beautiful African baskets for economic purposes. After a satisfactory and amazing day in this community together with school children, in the evening you will depart to drive back to your Lodge.  Dinner and Overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge – FB

Day 7 Tsavo East – Mombasa – Depart Tsavo area in the morning after breakfast and drive to the coastal city of Mombasa. Enjoy the scenic beauty along this road to check-in at your hotel in the early afternoon. Spend the rest of the day at leisure at your beach hotel.  Dinner and Overnight at Serena Beach Hotel – HB

Day 8 Tsunza Peninsula – Visit a community, known as the forgotten peninsula. There is no road transport to this “Tsunza” community. It is a community surrounded by water and therefore you must get into a local dhow or a boat to get to this community. This sail will take you to see the beauty of this amazing community surrounded by water and the unique scenic beauty found here. They have a beautiful quiet lifestyle and culture, dress code etc. You will be welcomed by these joyous villagers with song and dance the “Duruma” way. Visit a local school in this community and just spend your beautiful moments with these children, experiencing their innocence and beauty. Lunch will be served by the fish ponds which is an economic empowerment project for this community. In the evening sail back to the jetty and drive back to your hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Serena Beach Hotel – HB

Day 9 Mombasa – After breakfast enjoy a half-day historic city tour of Mombasa visiting Fort Jesus, Oldtown, Marikiti Market, oldest Hindu temple, Elephant tusks and if possible the Mama Ngina seafront. Have memorable moments with them and later in the evening return to your hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Serena Beach Hotel – HB

Day 10 Nairobi – shopping – Early in the morning after breakfast you will be dropped at the train station where you will board your SGR train MSA /NBO departing at 8.15 am and arriving NBO at 1.30 pm. In Nairobi, we will offer you a souvenir shopping adventure at the Kazuri beads.
